International Women’s Day – Brooklyn Eagle

Roughly 1,000 women and their male supporters gathered for a rally in Cadman Plaza Park followed by a march across the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall to mark the 100th International Women’s Day. The theme was “Stronger Women Build Bridges of Peace,” and supporters met on bridges around the world in solidarity with women in countries like Afghanistan, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
